Retail Diploma

RETAIL EXCELLENCE IRELAND Retail Management Diploma (FETAC Level 5)has been launched for 2008. The programme will include a series of retail electives, course work and an examination process. The course will be pitched at retail management level and will plug into the National Framework of Qualifications. The programme will be hosted in Dublin.

This high level yet practical programme will give managers a clear insight into best retail practice. This is no ordinary training course – industry experts from Ireland and UK will deliver top-level presentations in nine key retail areas.

Objectives: The objective of this highly practical programme is to ensure that participants are furnished with key retail skills to enable them to grow their retail careers.

Format: The programme will be delivered over 7 full days. Participants will be required to complete assessments of learning for each of the modules. The programme is very much work based and in order to achieve the RETAIL EXCELLENCE IRELAND Retail Management course candidates will have to achieve a pass mark in all of the modules.

Special Features: The RETAIL EXCELLENCE IRELAND Retail Management Programme exposes learners to Best Practice Retail Standards. All of our trainers are from the real world of retail. They are experienced practitioners and keenly aware of the industry. Diploma students will also get the opportunity to attend RETAIL EXCELLENCE IRELAND best practice events during the year. In addition to attending specialised training events and best practice days learners will also enjoy access to the RETAIL EXCELLENCE IRELAND On Line Library Resource.

Further Studies: The RETAIL EXCELLENCE IRELAND Retail Management Course is a Level 5 FETAC Award and as such is part of the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ). A key element of the framework is to enable access and progression opportunities to education and training between levels. Holders of a FETAC award at Level 5 may apply for degree courses under the Higher Education Links Scheme.

FETAC: As the national awarding body for further education and training in Ireland, the Further Education and Training Awards Council (FETAC) gives people the opportunity to gain recognition for learning in education or training centres, in the work place and in the community. FETAC Awards are Quality Assured, Nationally and Internationally recognised, offer access to further and higher education and training opportunities and are recognised by employers. All FETAC awards are part of the new inclusive National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ), developed by the National Qualifications Authority of Ireland (NQAI).
